I am very happy with the radio. Compact design, wind-up and solar powered. Item arrived promptly and is a good price.
Bought this radio after my previous battery powered one broke. I’m very satisfied with the radio. Wound it up for its initial use but haven’t needed to again as the solar panel gains enough even without being in direct sunlight.
Wasn’t expecting the best sound quality but was pleasantly surprised.
Good value for money, especially with not needing to buy batteries!!!!
Would highly recommend this radio to everyone.
I thought this radio sounded like an ideal solution for my bathroom. My old shower radio had broken and I read the reviews for the Aquabourne and thought it would be just what I needed. On the plus side, it is small, portable and holds its solar charge well. On the down side, it does not tune very easily. I’m a Radio 2 listener and I find it very difficult to get a good signal for this station. However when I tune to other more local stations I get a much better signal.
This is a great little radio, I just need to have it on for about 1 hr a day and so far I have not had to wind it up again after the first time following delivery.
The sound is good for such a small Radio. it beats keep recharging batteries on my last radio each week.
Was a bit disappointed when i received this as a lot smaller I expected but the sound quality and level is fantastic! It only took a quick 2-3 minutes of winding to get it going and placed it on the windowsill where i have never had to wind it again as gets enough solar power and I use it for at least a couple of hours everyday. Would have given this a 5 star rating but the tuning and volume buttons are very fiddly to alter as set very close to the unit so having nails helps! But as I listen to same radio station most of the time its not really a problem.
