Here we are again with another mini review, this time for the Coleman 48 Litre Polylite Coolbox. The key to this coolbox is SIMPLICITY! When we purchased it, about a year ago, we also considered things like gas & electric powered fridges, but we ultimately thought that these would be overkill for a weekend camping. The Coleman coolbox is great for the following reasons:
At 48 Litre’s this coolbox has loads of room to fit food, beer and wine for a good weekends camping. There obviously needs to be some space left to put your ice blocks, but I find that if you have a few beer cans in there this keeps the food pretty cool too In terms of keeping your food and drink cool, It is a trooper! This is not a very scientifically drawn up result, but, we will often come home after a two or three day camping trip with some beers left in the coolbox. These beers are almost always colder than the beers in our fridge at home. It really does keep things very cool, even when it is very warm outside. The Coleman coolbox has a very simple design. A handle on each end to make carrying it easy and a lid that has two sturdy hinges and simply push closes. Also included with the coolbox is a handy flask and mini coolbox which are useful for the obvious reasons. In conclusion – we never go camping without it now. Even though the box is rather large (W=60cm, H =36cm, D=36cm) we can just keep loading the box with food and drink, and due to the fact that the food won’t spoil, we can always bring back what we don’t use. The coolbox now contains the following: 24 cans of beer (stumpy Heineken lager cans) You can get the Coleman Coolbox in our online store for £59.99. Leave a Comment |
